Central Beliefs of the Christian Faith as professed by the Lutheran Church?

I'm (still) writing my confirmation essay and have hit another roadblock....what are some of the central beliefs of the Christian Faith as professed by the Lutheran Church? I was thinking about things in The Apostles' Creed. Like that God created everything (including me) and that Jesus Christ is God's son. Anyone else have any ideas and do you think these are ohhkay starting ideas? Any suggestions on how to improve them. Thanks in advance if you can help me!
