Do you agree that othello was somewhat depressed?

I don't believe Othello was depressed about Desdemona. To me, he seemed more hurt and angry about it b/c he trusted so much in Iago, that he was blind to see what really happened. I think he was also jealous from the begining of Cio, becasue Cio is handsome, young, and white, all the things Othello isn't, and to him it would be easy and believable to think that Desdemona fell in love with Cio instead. Iago planted this idea into Othello's head and made it seem as if Cio was talking about Desdemona when it was really about Bianca. So I don't Othello was actually depressed--when he was going through the action of killing Desdemona, he wanted to kill her with her conscience clear, to prove that he actually loved her enough.
