New to Ford Mustang's need help!?

The 5.0 was pushrod the new 4.6 modular is better and has better numbers as well so its not all bad. If you plan to race id suggest a supercharger or save up for turbo kit as the v8 competition as well as other highend cars with smaller engines. (ie evo,m3) and many other cars are faster. I would try to find a limited edition such as mach 1 which has a hood shacker or a bullitt if you have the money 2003-4 cobra are pretty much the fastest mustangs using the 4.6. If you really must have more the only different engine is the 5.4 used in the shelby gt500 but that costs a pretty penny. I would go 1999-2004 mustang gt with a turbine supercharger such as vortec or procharger. There are forums where users provide alot of help if you are looking to go fast.
